You must answer one question from the list below. The exam is worth 40 points. You should turn your answer in through canvas. Your answer must use 12 point font and include your name and student ID at the top of the first page. Your work must be your own. You must refer to at least 3 articles from the course assignments in your answer. You may refer to more than 3 articles, but you may not refer to any material that was not assigned in the course. These are thought pieces designed to show you understand and can synthesize the material. You should cite the articles within your answer like this: (Smith 2020) and you need not include a reference page so long as the citations are clear which readings you are citing. The answer to the question should be between 3 and 5 pages long.

Choose one of these questions to answer:

· What are human rights and how can we get states to recognize them?

· Identify and discuss some of the risks when the international community attempts to improve human rights whether through military intervention or economic sanctions.

· Agree or disagree with the following statement: “The protection of human rights only occurs with respect to issues everyone already agrees about, so international treaties and other efforts to protect human rights are a waste of time.” Make sure you explain why you agree or disagree.

ORDER NURSING COURSE WORKS HERE

For this purpose of this week’s Discussion, we will assume that students in this course maybe interested in psychology-related careers. However, the majority of these fields prefer graduate degree holders. There are opportunities for Bachelor’s level degree holders, but the number of opportunities with a career in psychology expand greatly for those with graduate degrees.

Research three different graduate programs in psychology.  Compare and contrast each program. Consider the following questions while doing so.

What information are applicants to graduate programs in psychology required to provide (e.g., academic information, standardized testing, recommendations, personal information, etc…)? What are the costs for graduate programs?  What types of financial aid are available?  What are other options (e.g., merit fellowships, assistantships, outside employment)?  How much debt do graduate students generally take on and does that vary based on degree (masters vs. doctoral) or program (e.g., Ph.D. vs. Psy.D.)? How important is it to graduate from an accredited program/university?

After reading the weekly resources from Weeks 1 – 7, select three careers in Psychology that interest you with varying requirements and levels of education.  Do not select the same three as you did in the Week 1 Forum. What level of education is required for this career? How would someone prepare to have a career in each of these areas? Do they require licensure, if so what are the licensure requirements?

If you know of anyone in one of these careers, conduct an informational interview with that psychology professional. Feel free to share here information that you learned from this interview. If you decide to share, do not use their full name or any identifying information about this person.
