  • Which stakeholders did Traszka and the management of L’Oreal cater to?

When an entity is determined to analyze products needs or meet a quota, it centres on consumer wants and needs. The stakeholders that L’Oreal is catering for are both local and international stakeholders. A low performing item should be examined to ascertain the reason why it is not being purchased. When a product is held in stock, the company does not make sales. Other stakeholders that L’Oreal caters to are the employees. Their decreased performance would be an underlying reason as to why the company is not meeting its desired revenues. If some employees are not productive enough for the company, the company should consider laying them off. The management teams are also a stakeholder in L’Oreal because they can control and oversee the various departments. When one department I not productive, the company will weigh options on whether to keep or fire unproductive and expensive employees. The management team is obliged to assess employee abilities and assist them in making errors.

Self-Reflection

  • How did the WH Framework help you analyze the situation?

Using the WH framework exposed me to a new experience. I was able to understand and synthesize the role of management in analyzing company departments. I can now analyze and use information perspective. The WH framework provided an idea of how to research different facets in every department. This tool is not customized for management only. Employees in the lower ranks can also use it. Effective implementation of the WH Framework would identify company problems and assist in enhancing productivity amongst employees.

Now that you’ve put together the framework, how does the WH Framework help managers make business decisions?

Managers use the WH Framework to identify and evaluate the company needs. After finding deficiencies, managers make appropriate decisions that will catalyze productivity in the failing departments. With the assistance of WH Framework, managers can determine who will be affected by the decisions made.

What type of decisions would the WH Framework chart help you make as a manager?

In the near future, when I will be a manager, I will not hesitate from using WH Framework. The tool will help me determine areas that the company is struggling in. it would help me eliminate unproductive processes, redundant employees and keep items and employees that add value to the company. I want to know what should be used to drive positive change so that the company can breakeven. I could also use the tool to determine items that are rarely purchased and make desirable changes.
